Photo Blog Series: Beautiful Staircases

We didn't set out with these blog themes when we began traveling; they just emerged as we photographed things that caught our interest.  This series is one of our favorites because it shows beautiful, complex, and sometimes scary staircases we have climbed around Europe.  Hope you enjoy the photos!

One of our all-time favorite photos we have taken (Cinque Terre, Italy)
Sunlight shining through one of the staircases in Sagrada Familia (Barcelona, Spain)
This picture was kind of an accident actually. Notice Brian waving in the red. (Vatican City)
Very random staircase on the Old New Synagogue (Prague, Czech Republic)
Staircase at the Tintagel Castle ruins - note, we did NOT climb this one! (Cornwall, England)
Temporary staircase they built so you could view the ceiling frescos up close (Vienna, Austria)
Inside a wind turbine, one of only 2 in the world with a viewing platform (Swaffam, England)
Old staircase with an antique elevator at our B&B (Rome, Italy)
I didn't have a lot of confidence climbing this rough-looking staircase
in Salisbury Cathedral (Salisbury, England)
Love this fire escape and the shadow on the building (Bath, England)
